When I was thinking about what the topic should be this week, I had a lot of different ideas. This I think is an interesting one… I personally think that the memories are the more important than the actual experiences. I mean, if you never have the actual experiences, I suppose it would be difficult to have the memory from it, but if you don’t have the memory from it, then what was the point of the experience? I have many different memories from different things that I have been told and not even experienced. Stories from my grandparents, etc. that are enjoyable to go back and remind myself of. I also think that the actual experience you can only “experience” once; the memory of the experience can be re-lived over and over again. As far as a BEST memory...now that is a hard one. I am not sure that I actually have a BEST memory. I have many memories that I cherish and each and every one has value and importance to me. From experiences with my children, my husband, family and friends that are no longer with us… so many memories that I cherish. I guess, to sum it up, I vale the memories more than the actual experiences.
Although I said differently in my blog, I still completely agree with you! I know that sounds weird but it's true! Memories are so important, and you can relive your experiences over and over again. 😜
I think that memories are more important, because we get to relive what happened. My best memory is when I went to Disney. It was my first time! It was sometime in October near Halloween. It was so much fun. Now I know that I truly do miss Disney, but I can relive that moment forever. I enjoyed it so much, and if I’m sad, I will always remember the best I had in Disney. Well, turning tables, the worst memory I had was a birthday. In third grade, I had a substitute, and she accused all of the children in my class, that we were all lying when we were all just trying to tell her what our daily schedule was. I will never forget that. That is what stinks, we don't always want to remember what happens, because it makes you angry to think about, but that is what the good memories are for!
I think memories, either good or bad, help you appreciate life. It is the bad memories that make you appreciate the good memories. I also agree that having the memories allow you to go back and relive them. That is always a wonderful experience! Great job!
Whose class were you in in third grade? I think I had the same substitute! Okay, maybe that wasn't the point of the story. I agree, memories are great because we can keep reliving them. Great answer!👍🏻
I think that memories are more important because we get to remember what happened. My best memory was when my mom, my dad, my brother, and I went to Tennessee for a week. I also remember my worst memory. I was at school and I was in class. I went to the bathroom and the fire alarm rang. I was so scared because I was only seven. I was so scared because I didn’t know what to do or who to go to. The reason I like memories better than actual experiences is because people could tell you about something that happened to them but you would not remember it because it did not happen to you. This is why I like memories better than actual experiences because anyone can tell you something that happened to them that you did not know about. This is why I like memories better than actual experiences.
I have never had an experience like that with a fire alarm, but I can totally see where that would be a frightening experience! I agree with you that memories are the best! It is definitely a good way to experience life through someone else's experiences. Great job!
Honestly, I've had to think this question over for a while. When the actual experience happens, it's actually happening! But all the memories that remain from that experience are so special, and you can cherish them forever! Choosing between them is hard. But I think that what I personally enjoy the most is the experience. When you actually are living in something that will soon be a memory, you can feel the excitement, anticipation, etc. to it's highest height! When you say that you're living the life, you're actually living YOUR life! Even though you can only have experiences once, this can encourage you to make the best of every little experience. On a different note, I also hold memories in my heart. Just because I prefer the experience, doesn't mean memories aren't close behind! I relive my experiences through memories over and over again! Although picking a best memory would be hard. I'm basically choosing between when I met my baby sister for the first time, or when I got my little flufy puppy-wups! I would probably choose my dog over my sister.....
Too funny! Interesting thoughts! Living in the moment is a crucial part of "living life" without a doubt! I can understand how you are experiencing things for the first time and having all of those emotions and that is an amazing experience. Great thoughts!
Honestly, I think that memories are better then experiences because memories last forever. Experiences go by so fast so you have to live in the moment. You’ll have all your life to remember, use your experience to the best of your abillity. My best memory is probably my 10th birthday. At my party all my friends came and had a huge sleepover. We ate cupcakes and cotton candy and burgers! At night my mom let us all go in the pool with glowsticks. My stood closeby. After that we made pillow cases. Our pillow cases had markers, glitter, rhinestones, and gems. It was amazing and really special to me me. The reason why it was so special is because all of my friends came to hang out with me. I felt so special. I realized how that when ever I look back to remember that day I feel so happy. I feel that memories are so amazing because they help us remember the good things in life.
I wasn't invited to your 10th birthday party!😭 No, I'm just joking, I didn't even know you yet! I can see how the party made you feel special. Great answer!😜
I must agree with you that memories are the best! If you have the memory, then you have obviously had the experience! It's kind of the best of both worlds! I also believe that birthday parties, when you're a kid, are some of the best memories ever! Good Job!
I think memories are the best! Some of my best memories are of my dad and when we lived in Florida when I was very little. It helps me to go back and then I smile when I think about it.

Kinda of what I said in my blog, there are bad memories that you don’t always want to remember. Good memories make you happy. Always be happy!

DeleteI completely agree. Memories are important to remember. Like Andie said sometimes there are bad memories that you do not want to remember.

DeleteI feel you Mary! I once got caught by the fire alarm when the fire alarm went off too! Going to Tennessee for a week sounds awesome! Great job!😝
