I wonder if I’m going to do things in my life that I dream to do. I know what you are thinking, “You can do whatever you dream of,” well I agree with that, but I’m sure everyone would love to go to Hawaii, but we can’t all do that for a variety of reasons. Maybe something will get in the way of going to Hawaii. Maybe money is an issue or you get a disease early in life. Plenty of people go to Hawaii and plenty of people who dream to go don’t go. Hawaii is just an example. I have a handful of things on my bucket list. I want to go to California, Hawaii, the Four Corners, Mount Rushmore, and the black sand beach. I would love to do each and every one of these things, but I wonder if I will ever do any of these things.
I am sure that you will accomplish many of your dreams! As you get older, especially if you want to travel, it is just a matter of planning for it. Be aware of what you choose to spend your money on, and always try to put a little bit away into a "travel fund." then, when you have enough, plan a trip to one of the places you wish to go to. Then, start all over again saving. I think you will surprise yourself at how many things in your life you will be to do! Great thoughts!
Yes, Julie I would love to go to Hawaii. I love the beaches and how it is tropical. If my cousin, Christopher was still playing football probably would have end up going. He had a game there, but unfortunately he had a concussion that messed up hit vision, I think, and his doctors told him that he couldn’t play for the team anymore.
Julie, I would love to accomplish all of my dreams! It would be great for everyone to be able to do that. Unfortunately, some people never do, like you said with the money and diseases everything else that gets in the way of people’s dreams. Hopefully though, everyone will AT LEAST get one dream accomplished in their lifetime!
I really like what you said in your blog. I think you will live a long happy life, and you will achieve all of your life dreams. Your live now is a small chunk of a big life you will soon live. You are amazing and I love your reply!
I thought this was a good post! I'm sure everyone has a dream of traveling somewhere in their life, like Walt Disney World, Six Flags, etc. I have a lot of dreams like you do, I hope they come true!
Dreams are things our mind creates to predict what we want to do. If you dream of going to space, become an astronaut. Dreams can only be accomplished with effort.
Hawaii is a great example, Julie! I would also love to go there! And in my perspective, you are going to accomplish all of your dreams. :) I also know that sometimes dreams don’t always come true, :(, but there’s no point in giving up, and not doing any of the things you hope to do! I also wonder if I’ll accomplish my dreams, but all anyone can do is try, right? :)
You will accomplish many things in your life. Yes, I know that diseases and sickness can cause you to not accomplish this dream. All you can do is try. At least everyone will accomplish at least one thing in their life.
I agree Julie, we can do what we want, but things might get complicated. I want to go to Mars, but thats unlikey. I hope you get to do things on your bucket list.
I wonder what job I will have in 25 years. Would I be a billionaire like Mr. Trump or a professional lacrosse player? I think I will end up getting a good job and not being rich but healthy. I could have the best job or the worst, nobody knows yet because I'm only 11. Right now I'm playing lacrosse and if I stick with that I could probably get a scholarship or go pro. I hope I end up with a nice job, make good money and have fun doing my job. I also wonder what kind of pay I'll be getting with my job. Would it be a high paying job that earns a lot of money or just a simple job that isn't much at all? I would love a high paying job, of course, but I want a job that earns good money and one that I enjoy.
I still tend to wonder what job I will have in 25 years! I'm hoping that I am no longer working and relaxing on a beach somewhere!! I think your ideas are great, and I like the fact that although you want to make good money, that you still care about enjoying your profession. Great Job!
I always think about that too! It’s so strange to think about yourself in the future. I personally want to be a lawyer or judge, but I wonder if that will actually happen. Maybe the future won’t even have jobs like the ones today. Maybe robots will do everything!
I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I was little I wanted to be a vet, and I’m pretty sure that at one point I wanted to be a monkey. (That’s because I could swing from tree to tree.) But, still, I do NOT, like I have no idea, what I want to be when I grow up, and NO idea where I’m going to be when I’m older.
Nick, When I was little I always wanted to be a teacher. To me it doesn’t matter if I end up famous making billions of dollars. As long as I am living a happy life I will be fine. I also hope that you find a good job and live a happy life.
I hope everyone will know what their future will be and what there life will be like. I want to be famous, and I don’t want it for the money. I want to be famous because I think I have talent. Everyone has a talent which makes them the way they are, and hopefully that make their future brighter.
I always think about that too! I used to know exactly what I wanted to be, but now I’m not so sure. Then again, when I knew what I wanted to be, I was five, and I wanted to be a fairy princess! :) I’m pretty sure that I want to work either with animals or young kids, but who could know for sure? Besides, the fairy princess dream seems like a very big possibility, don’t you think?
I always debate on what job I want. I'm just a little curious on how you go from wanting to be an astronaut to running a laundry mat? I really hope that is not me.
I agree with you on some lines. For example, you want a job with good pay, but you need to be happy with what your job is. A good pay is nice. But you need to enjoy your job.
I wonder if it is truly possible to “change the world” as only one person? So often, people will use the phrase “we can change the world, one person at a time,” but I am curious if that is something realistic or not so realistic. I would like to think that if you make a positive impact on someone that you are making a small change in the world, but it seems that there are so many larger issues that our society is dealing with. Can one person make enough of a difference to change the world? I suppose the question is completely hypothetical, but my personal feelings: I hope to be a positive, friendly, helpful, encouraging, and inspiring person to those around me. I hope that I live my life building those around me up, not tearing them down; I hope to be filled more with positive thoughts and optimism than negative thoughts and pessimism; I hope to influence people to be better people than they were the day before. I suppose that it is difficult to believe that one person could change the world, but I hope to make enough of a difference in one person’s life to change THEIR world.
That is something I never really put my mind deep into. But, personally, I DO think that one person can change the world. If you think about it, some people already did change the world. Like think about Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, and many other people that are great influences to anybody. So, if Einstein and Abraham Lincoln can change the world, why can’t we?
I don't think it IS possible to change the world as one person. Considering in today's society where 1 person is really small, I feel like if enough people come together, they can change the world!
You blog is really influential and I hope that we all can make the world better, but I don’t know if only one person can make an impact. The world is the way it is from us so we must be able to impact something in our lifetime. I hope we all can!
I would love to be able to change the world as one person, as many others probably do. And I do think that it is possible, although challenging. I believe that almost anyone can do something that changes the world if they try, even though we could do even greater together.
I think that one person can change the world. Honestly, I've never thought about it until now.It might be challenging at first but once you set yourself to it anything is possible.
I never really thought about that, but it’s a good point! I think the big issues in the world can’t be changed that easily. Not saying we can’t change them just one person can’t make a huge issue disappear overnight. I do agree with you about spreading kindness and don’t tear people down because it’s very important to remember that!
I think we should take terrorism in to mind. If we fight one person at a time, we will be killed off one by one. We would would need groups of people who are willing to sacrifice for strangers. Then normal criminals aren’t grateful and decide to keep killing. That brings me into bullys. I believe that bully is just another word for rude indevidual of inconvinence. I believe we can change bullys for the better one by one. We truly can make the world a better place together.
I wonder if any human has the ability to predict the future. This is a power I always wanted. This would help me and anyone else who have it. You could predict the answers on a test, and ever help win wars. Do you want this power? Just to have powers in general would be awesome. If you do, contact Stan Lee. Would scientist perform special test on these special kids? I always wanted this power. I could get A’s on all tests. For military personnel this is something they will definitely need. I hope that I will be able to adapt and gain this power. The only negative thing is that you will see when you and your loved ones pass away. You will be able to help save them probably. If I had it would've bet on the World Series winners and helped my dad with small bets with friends. This is why that power would be awesome!
Well, I would love to have ANY superhuman powers.Telling the future seems like a lot of fun, but you made a good point with how you will know when you, and your loved ones, will die. And, like you said, it might be possible to save them! But, can you REALLY avoid the inevitable?
I would love to predict the future. You could tell what could happen the next day or a month from now. You could also predict the answers on a test. This superpower would help save lives because people would know where the bad people are.
Being able to tell the future would be so amazing! Like you said, it could save lives, and be a great help in everyday choices. It could also save me from failing a test, which would save my life when I get home from school!
I would love to be able to tell the future! It would be amazing to predict what someone is going to say or even something bigger like winning a war (like you had mentioned). It would be something useful or just something to have fun a see what kind of potential you have with it.
This is what I would consider a "double-edge sword." Being able to predict the future would be wonderful for many of the reasons that you listed, but remember, it doesn't only mean that you would know good things. Remember, bad things occur as well, and having the ability to predict the future, you would be aware of those things too. I am not sure that I would want to know when I was going to die, or if someone I knew was going to get a horrible disease, or things like that. Although being able to predict the future might be fun for a while, I think it would also create a lot of stress and pressure. And, just because you know the future doesn't mean that you can change it. I think I would feel terribly helpless. Great Thoughts!
I agree with you that we should have superpowers, but I think we all have our own powers. For instance, Yan has the power to think intelligently, you have the power to be really good at baseball, I can sing really well, Shannon has the power to be happy always, so we don’t need all of the super machines to make up have all of that greatness, and ability. I also though think it would be good because you can prevent a loved one from passing away. Great job!
I have to admit, predicting the future is really cool! But I don’t think I would want that power. My reasoning is that nothing can be exciting to look forward to. For example if you predict that you are going to get the newly released video game for your birthday there is no fun looking forward to your birthday. On the other hand, it would be amazing if you could save someone or millions of people by just knowing what would happen. If someone knew the Holocaust would happen maybe nobody would be crueling murdered. Maybe wishing to not have the power is a little selfish, but I’m sure thousands of people would beg to predict the future.
I think predicted the future would be a wonderful power. But think it would be scary to know what day and time you leave. But it would also improve military forces.
I wonder what other people think of me when they first see me, or meet me. Do they not like me at first, would they never like me, or do they think I’m a great person? I hope they like me, but maybe they don’t. When I first meet people I try my hardest to be really nice and considerate. Sometimes people are really mean and disrespectful to my friends and I, so I really hope that I never am like that to anyone I ever meet. Sometimes I just joke around with my friends, laughing and stuff like that, but, to me, when people are mean on purpose, that isn’t cool. Either when people are making fun of someone because of the color of their skin, the clothes they wear, what they look like, it isn’t funny or it isn’t cool to make fun of someone. I know that some people make fun of gay people, or transgender, or blacks, or any other kind of people that some people protest against or think that they shouldn’t allowed to think the way they do, or look the way they look. But, to be honest, I don’t think that it matters who you love, you should be with them anyway. Also, I don’t think that it doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside, it only matters what is on the inside, and that you are a good person in there. I know, I know, that everyone says that, but it is 100% true!
Louisa, to me no one should think about anyone especially if you do not know that person. Like the quote, “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover,” don’t judge someone without knowing them in real life. You are right, it doesn’t matter what you look like on the inside, it only matters how you act inside.
That is 100% true, like you said in your story! I personally believe that no one should be judged by how they look like or what they believe in, too. I mean, how would you feel if somebody judged you before they even got to know you, or even know your name?
Louisa you are a very nice person, and I think what you said couldn’t have been any better. Everyone should treat everyone nice no matter what they look or anything. If anyone wants to find a good friend they should look for someone who is nice to you and someone who you would actually care for you. Then other kids either get in trouble or try and be in one of the “popular” groups which they also usually get in trouble.
This was one of my favorite blogs to read, Louisa. I applaud you for having the courage to say what you did. Let me first say that you are a wonderful person, and your kindness radiates from you. Every, and ANYONE how comes within 100 feet of you can feel your aura of kindness and love. That being said, there is a song that is one of my oldest daughter and my favorite songs. It is sung by Colbie Caillat, and it is called "TRY." If you haven't heard it before, listen to it; if you have heard it before, listen to it again. It will help keep things in perspective for you. It is a song that is very true and accurate. Great Job, my dear!
I think it matters on how you act in front of the people that you meet, for them to judge you. Still they shouldn’t say anything behind your back when it is negative. I wish that the world was a positive place where bad things aren’t always happening. Like the quote that Mary said, everyone is different, but they shouldn’t be judged for it.
For this post, I have to agree with you! When I first went to my summer camp, everyone kinda got a bad impression. When I came to this school, I was worried people wouldn't like me either! Overall, I agree with everything you say.
I agree with you that nobody should get judged on the color of their skin, their sexuality, gender, and unfortunately, many more. But I don’t think you should worry about what people think of you. You should only worry about what you think of yourself and self acceptance. Once you get that down you shouldn’t worry about what people think of you because if they don’t like you they don’t have to be in your life. I have to admit I do think of this too, but I am still working on not caring what people think of me. Of course you should care if someone thinks bad about you because you committed a crime. You should know what you shouldn’t do and what you should do. I know you won’t rob a bank so, I know you know what is right or wrong.
ouisa listen. You are smart, loving, and kind. If someone doesnt think youre cool for any reason forget about them. You will never 100% sure of what someone thinks. But as long as you think your amazing. Girl own it. Its what on on the inside that matters. Not the color of your hair or the size of your feet. Be who you want to be.
I wonder, if anyone is thinking about me right now, and if they are, I wonder what they have to say about me. I know some people don’t like me because I sing too much, or I just don’t have the right personality to hang out with some people, but some people like me because I’m outgoing, or I might possibly be a good friend. People, in their own mind have their own thoughts, that they can keep to themselves, but some people feel the need to make fun of people. If people make fun of me, I would like to know why they don’t like me. If people like me, I want to know why they think of me in a good positive way so I don’t change that one trait that makes me, me. I think of all my friends as a unique group of people who don’t care if I mess up, so I know they think of me in a good way, because they don't have anything bad to say. Some people point out everything little detail I do wrong.
Andie, I wonder that, too. I don’t get why people judge other people just because they like to do different things then that person does. Also, like you said, I would like to know why someone does or does not know me. Hopefully, though, no one talks about people behind their backs.
I always wonder that! I know that sometimes, I don’t like things that everybody likes, but that just makes me different in my own weird way! Everyone has their secrets, but not everyone is brave enough to let them show. Basically, we’re all one big group of weirdos! :)
Andie, I also always think of that to. Nobody wants anyone to think of themselves as a bad person or a person who’s not nice, no matter who you are. I don’t want anyone to think of me as someone who is not nice. Neither does anybody else.
Your blog and Louisa's blogs are similar, and I like and respect what you have said. You need to remember that not everyone is going to like you all of the time, and that is okay. What is more important, is whether or not YOU like yourself. You will always have small moments when perhaps you make a bad decision, or say something wrong, or do something that you should not have done, but remember that if you fix the mistake, it will all be alright. As long as you can look in the mirror every night as you brush your teeth, and know that you were the best person you could've been that day, then you did everything right. Like I told Louisa, one of my favorite songs is about this very topic. It is by Colbie Caillat, and it is called "TRY." If you have never heard it, listen to it; if you have heard it, listen to it again. Great Job!
I always think that too! Like, why do people feel the need to be mean to anyone? Some people never notice what we do RIGHT, but the moment we do something WRONG they don’t want to hang out with us! I just really don’t understand some people and their need to be mean.
I think that too! But I try not to because I know I shouldn’t care if people think bad about it me. I know people don’t like me, but I happen to enjoy what kind person I am today (not trying to be cocky.) I am probably going to change from now to 50 years from now, but I hope that I change only positively. I never want to be a person that I don’t like. I feel like people do think about me because I know girls talk about people behind their backs ALL the time. I try not to do that because if someone did that about me I would be very upset.
I wonder how many places I will go to in my life? My family and I love to travel and we do it quite often. So far I have been to five states and know I want to go everywhere. When I get older I want to travel to other countries and see what it is like. I am so used to living in the United States and seeing the sights here and now I want to see the things in different places. I want to see the Eiffel Tower and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. These places seem so interesting. Traveling around the world is interesting. I love to explore and see new things and to me seeing the same thing twice is really boring. Every place I go I have never been to before and I like it that way. Different, to me, is way better than doing things over and over again.
There are so many places I would like to go, too! I think that it’s a great dream of yours to go to different places all over the world. It can get pretty boring seeing the same things over and over again. You can always spice your life up with a bit of salt or barbecue sauce or...now I’m hungry!
Traveling is an awesome thing to do! I travel often as well, and I am always looking for new, exciting places to go! One of the things I like the most about traveling overseas, is that you get a new perspective on life in the USA. We are very fortunate to live in this country, and have many things that people in other countries do not have. Traveling to other countries definitely makes me value and appreciate what I have. I definitely think you will have many adventures throughout your life, and I wish you safe journeys on all of them. Great Job!
I love traveling myself, but if you know where you went now, you will always try to make that different. If you just live your live now, then when you get older, your traveling self will catch up sooner or later. Find places that interest you, save up money, and go!
I want to go all over the world too! Especially since my family lives all over the world, I never met some of them! If I get to travel more, than I could also meet them. But, I do agree with you about not really loving to do stuff things over and over again. Things, over a time, get boring!
I hope you travel to all the places you can! I also wish to go to many places, but I will be fine if I don’t get to go to all of them. I just wish I can do at least one. I hope that you go to as many as you wish. I think going places are important because you get to do as many things as you can in your life.
I wonder what my dog would say if he could talk. Would he say the things we always think dogs say, such as, “Scratch my tummy,” or, “Feed me now!” Or would he be intelligent and know things that even us humans today do not? There could be so many things we are missing! There is a difference between looking and seeing. Anyone can look at something, but it takes someone truly special to see it’s true meaning. Think about yourself for example. How many times do you really see something? Our dogs might be able to see everything! When they look at us do they think, “Oh look, there’s the person that feeds me! Here they come!” Or do they see us in a perspective that even our closest friends just don’t have the ability to see. Maybe even a perspective that we’re not able to see. If my dog could talk, would he tell me all these things? Then again, he also might just be the fluffy, dumb, food-loving puppy that he always is, who thinks things like, ” I could sit and stay like she told me too, or I could go chase that squirrel. Come here squirrel!”
Hahaha!! What an interesting thought! I wonder that often myself, as I am making stupid faces or talking in some dumb voice to my furbabies. My guess is that they like the "idiot tendencies" we have with them because most often they are wagging their tails are we are acting like fools. My favorite part of the day is when I get home, and every single day, my two Newfoundlands, Maisy and Moose, greet me with such love that it makes me smile. Having a dog is the most amazing showing of unconditional love. Great job!
I always wondered what my dogs were thinking. Whether it’s them thinking that they can do whatever they want, or staying in control, they always do want we say. Dogs are just lovable and playful, so what does it matter if they think we look stupid, because in the end they always love us.
That is a great thought Shannon! Now that I think about it, Daisy, my dog, is probably a lot smarter than me! Sometimes she can be a little dumb, but most of the time, she seems really smart! Who know? Maybe dogs can even tell the future! If only we could talk to them...
That is a great thought. I feel whenever I make silly faces to an animal I am always wondering what they are thinking. Are they thinking I am weird for make those sill faces or are they enjoying my silly faces.
I knew you weren’t going to do a normal topic, Shannon! You are so creative and come up with the craziest things ( which is an amazing quality!) I also wonder that, but I also wonder what his voice would sound like. Very interesting topic and I appreciate your creativity!
I wonder if I am going to be successful. I mean, it's a thought that everyone has. But considering what has happened in my past, i'm really worried about my future. I am worried because things from your past can come back and haunt your future. When I go to get a job, the person is who employing me might have to do some research about me. There might be things from my past that aren’t so great. Even though that’s in THE PAST, they still might take it into consideration. That thought really bothers me sometimes, it could affect how successful I am in life. It worries me, and so does other people. With the internet becoming more advanced, people can find out more about you. Even if it is personal information, people can find out more about you then you know about yourself! In conclusion, this was something that bothered me.
Don’t worry, everyone worries about things in their past affecting their future. But it shouldn’t matter what happened in the past, as long as you have changed your ways. Although it is possible for your past to affect you, what really matters is what you do in the present; what you’re doing right now.
I think that you are putting too much pressure on yourself. Wondering if you are going to be successful is something that I still worry about each and every day. Think of it this way... each morning you wake up, you have a choice to make. Ask yourself: is it going to be a great day? Before you even get out of bed, answer that question. I would hope that you would choose to answer it: YES, it IS going to be a GREAT day! From that point on, strive throughout the day to do the best that you can in each and every aspect of the day. It doesn't mean that everyone around you is going to make it easy for you (to have a great day that is,) but You have control over YOURSELF. As you get back into bed each evening, ask yourself another question: Was it a great day? And again, I truly hope that the answer will be YES each and every night. If you can answer YES each and every night, than you are successful. Life is about baby steps, and I believe that if you worry about the "big picture" too much, and lose sight of the smaller picture, things can get overwhelming. I worry about being successful every day, but if I come to work and make even 1 child smile, feel loved, love something new, feel encouraged, then I was successful. Each day is a new opportunity to be successful. Success is measured in many different ways. Do I believe that you will be successful... Without a doubt! I think the bigger question is... Do YOU believe that you will be successful? You are smart, kind, considerate, caring, sensitive, and creative... you already have all the tools to be a successful individual. Now all you need is some confidence. You'll do great things, Andrew. Never lose FAITH! Great Job!
Hey, it doesn’t matter what is going to happen in the future now, because we are young. If we keep dwelling on the future, about what things happened in the past, we will miss all of the stuff that is happening now. I know sooner or later that it will matter, but we are only in 6th grade, so we can deal with it in the future. You will go far my friend!
Don’t worry about it to much. I mean, I’m sure everyone thought that, even me. But, don’t put to much pressure on yourself. You should worry about your future, but only at the right time, which is not right now. The past will affect your future, but you can, and if you make the right choices, will change if you’re not happy about your future.
Andrew, don't worry about it. To me everyone is successful even if they messed up. No one is perfect and that is something you have to remember. Don't put to much pressure on yourself you are fine just the way you are.
Don’t stress over it! If you think before you choose I believe you would end up in a good place. I guess I can’t say much because I only lived so much of my life. I wish you the best of luck to living a happy, successful life.
I wonder if there is something beyond the universe. Let’s take the scientific approach on the creation of the universe, or the Big Bang. What if the “Big Bang” was not the only one of its kind? What if there have been thousands and there are thousands of universes flourishing unimaginably long distances away, and there is life in many of those? Then again, there is a 100 percent chance that there is intelligent life in our own ever-expanding universe. Still, maybe there are beings like humans with coherent thoughts and things resembling current inventions, such as an alien car. Then again, what if. Going back on the trail of the “multi-universe theory”, What if there was a way we could access those distant lands? We could travel through time by going the speed of light (impossible with current technologies), or go Star Trek style and warp to them. I wonder if we can get to the thousands of universes, if they even exist.
I've thought about that too! It does seem extremely likely that there are other life forms out there and I believe that there are! I mean when we're wondering about if they exist they're probably wondering if we exist!
Great question! I think that I do believe in life other than ours. I'm not quite sure what that "life" is, or where it is for that matter, but I think it does exist. Space, and the idea of "what is out there" was never really a big interest to me. I guess I tend to be a bit more concrete in my thoughts about science. But, I think that many people wonder about this very topic. Great job!
You are very intelligent, and I think you will go far in life. Your theories for almost everything sometimes don’t make sense in my head, but this as explained perfectly. This explanation is amazing.
I’ve always thought about that too! I am almost certain in my opinion, that there are other life forms out there, weather if they are just like us, or completly different from us! If there is other life forms, maybe they already know about us! Hopefully one day we will know for certain if there are other living creatures out there in the universe!
I thought about that, too. In my opinion if scientists search hard enough you will find other life forms. I'm sure that if there are other life forms that they are probably wondering if we actually exist.
I do believe the universe is a never-ending space. I wouldn’t say there is a 100% chance of other life because we never found that out. I do think it is very likely there is other life though. It’s so strange thinking that something is so big and we are SO small compared to it.
Hello. I wonder what is time? If time go away were does it go. What is the past? What is the future? How do we know what the past was? We get taut in books, but we were not acually there. We can’t find out for sure because its all gone. But again, were did it go? Just think right now as youre reading this, what happened to when you read the first word. It’s gone. It’s like it slipped out of your hands. We can’t control it. We can’t relive it. We can’t see our future. Even fortune tellers can’t always be right. Time. Its a lovely word to some, but a nightmare to others. What happens when time starts? Do you have a countdown clock of life? What happens when you run out of time? Does your life flash by like an alarm buzzing? I don't know the answers. You look this up on google and you will never get an accurate answer. So before the end I must ask… I wonder what is time? Does it really exist?
Avary, I wonder that too. It's like when you start something and then once your in the middle of it you try to remember what happened when you first started it. Time flies and you don't even notice it. One second it's the present, the next second it's the past.
I try not to over-complicate time because time is just an idea people made up to keep track of days. The past is the past and you should worry about the present. It is good to be hopeful about the future, but I don’t recommend stressing about the future. If I think about something like time I would be wasting time.
Wow Avary, that's a great thought! I've always wondered if we will ever time travel, or find out what time really is. It's so confusing! I mean, what if we are just part of the past, and their already is a future planned out! Will we ever meet time travelers from the future? Ok, now I'm just confusing myself! :)
ReplyDeleteI am sure that you will accomplish many of your dreams!
DeleteYes, Julie I would love to go to Hawaii. I love the beaches and how it is tropical. If my cousin, Christopher was still playing football probably would have end up going. He had a game there, but unfortunately he had a concussion that messed up hit vision, I think, and his doctors told him that he couldn’t play for the team anymore.
DeleteJulie, I would love to accomplish all of my dreams! It would be great for everyone to be able to do that. Unfortunately, some people never do, like you said with the money and diseases everything else that gets in the way of people’s dreams. Hopefully though, everyone will AT LEAST get one dream accomplished in their lifetime!
DeleteI really like what you said in your blog. I think you will live a long happy life, and you will achieve all of your life dreams. Your live now is a small chunk of a big life you will soon live. You are amazing and I love your reply!
DeleteI thought this was a good post! I'm sure everyone has a dream of traveling somewhere in their life, like Walt Disney World, Six Flags, etc. I have a lot of dreams like you do, I hope they come true!
DeleteDreams are things our mind creates to predict what we want to do. If you dream of going to space, become an astronaut. Dreams can only be accomplished with effort.
DeleteHawaii is a great example, Julie! :)
DeleteI agree, I would really like to go to Mount. Rushmore. I only have one big dream, make it to the M.L.B. All my other dreams seem like nothing.
DeleteYou will accomplish many things in your life. Yes, I know that diseases and sickness can cause you to not accomplish this dream. All you can do is try. At least everyone will accomplish at least one thing in their life.
DeleteI agree Julie, we can do what we want, but things might get complicated. I want to go to Mars, but thats unlikey. I hope you get to do things on your bucket list.
DeleteI wonder what job I will have in 25 years.
ReplyDeleteI still tend to wonder what job I will have in 25 years! I'm hoping that I am no longer working and relaxing on a beach somewhere!! I think your ideas are great, and I like the fact that although you want to make good money, that you still care about enjoying your profession. Great Job!
DeleteI always think about that too! It’s so strange to think about yourself in the future. I personally want to be a lawyer or judge, but I wonder if that will actually happen. Maybe the future won’t even have jobs like the ones today. Maybe robots will do everything!
DeleteI never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.
DeleteNick, When I was little I always wanted to be a teacher. To me it doesn’t matter if I end up famous making billions of dollars. As long as I am living a happy life I will be fine. I also hope that you find a good job and live a happy life.
DeleteI hope everyone will know what their future will be and what there life will be like. I want to be famous, and I don’t want it for the money. I want to be famous because I think I have talent. Everyone has a talent which makes them the way they are, and hopefully that make their future brighter.
DeleteI have this same thought too Nick! I feel like I would start at a small job, then go on to more bigger and better!
DeleteYou can get a great paying job with practice. You have to be pro to play pro. And the only way to get to the top is to start from the bottom.
DeleteI always think about that too! I used to know exactly what I wanted to be, but now I’m not so sure. Then again, when I knew what I wanted to be, I was five, and I wanted to be a fairy princess! :)
DeleteI’m pretty sure that I want to work either with animals or young kids, but who could know for sure? Besides, the fairy princess dream seems like a very big possibility, don’t you think?
I always debate on what job I want. I'm just a little curious on how you go from wanting to be an astronaut to running a laundry mat? I really hope that is not me.
DeleteI agree with you on some lines. For example, you want a job with good pay, but you need to be happy with what your job is. A good pay is nice. But you need to enjoy your job.
DeleteI wonder if it is truly possible to “change the world” as only one person?
ReplyDeleteThat is something I never really put my mind deep into. But, personally, I DO think that one person can change the world. If you think about it, some people already did change the world. Like think about Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, and many other people that are great influences to anybody. So, if Einstein and Abraham Lincoln can change the world, why can’t we?
DeleteI don't think it IS possible to change the world as one person. Considering in today's society where 1 person is really small, I feel like if enough people come together, they can change the world!
DeleteYou blog is really influential and I hope that we all can make the world better, but I don’t know if only one person can make an impact. The world is the way it is from us so we must be able to impact something in our lifetime. I hope we all can!
DeleteThink of an ant. Alone it is minuscule, but together, they are extremely powerful.
DeleteI would love to be able to change the world as one person, as many others probably do. And I do think that it is possible, although challenging. I believe that almost anyone can do something that changes the world if they try, even though we could do even greater together.
DeleteI think that one person can change the world. Honestly, I've never thought about it until now.It might be challenging at first but once you set yourself to it anything is possible.
DeleteI never really thought about that, but it’s a good point! I think the big issues in the world can’t be changed that easily. Not saying we can’t change them just one person can’t make a huge issue disappear overnight. I do agree with you about spreading kindness and don’t tear people down because it’s very important to remember that!
DeleteI think we should take terrorism in to mind.
DeleteI wonder if any human has the ability to predict the future.
ReplyDeleteWell, I would love to have ANY superhuman powers.Telling the future seems like a lot of fun, but you made a good point with how you will know when you, and your loved ones, will die. And, like you said, it might be possible to save them! But, can you REALLY avoid the inevitable?
DeleteI would love to predict the future. You could tell what could happen the next day or a month from now. You could also predict the answers on a test. This superpower would help save lives because people would know where the bad people are.
DeleteBeing able to tell the future would be so amazing! Like you said, it could save lives, and be a great help in everyday choices. It could also save me from failing a test, which would save my life when I get home from school!
DeleteI would love to be able to tell the future! It would be amazing to predict what someone is going to say or even something bigger like winning a war (like you had mentioned). It would be something useful or just something to have fun a see what kind of potential you have with it.
DeleteThis is what I would consider a "double-edge sword." Being able to predict the future would be wonderful for many of the reasons that you listed, but remember, it doesn't only mean that you would know good things.
DeleteI agree with you that we should have superpowers, but I think we all have our own powers. Great job!
DeleteI think predicting the future would be a great power! If you could see yourself in the future, you could change it or prepare for what happens next!
DeleteI have to admit, predicting the future is really cool!
DeleteI think predicted the future would be a wonderful power. But think it would be scary to know what day and time you leave. But it would also improve military forces.
DeleteI wonder what other people think of me when they first see me, or meet me.
ReplyDeleteLouisa, to me no one should think about anyone especially if you do not know that person. Like the quote, “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover,” don’t judge someone without knowing them in real life. You are right, it doesn’t matter what you look like on the inside, it only matters how you act inside.
DeleteThat is 100% true, like you said in your story! I personally believe that no one should be judged by how they look like or what they believe in, too. I mean, how would you feel if somebody judged you before they even got to know you, or even know your name?
DeleteLouisa you are a very nice person, and I think what you said couldn’t have been any better. Everyone should treat everyone nice no matter what they look or anything. If anyone wants to find a good friend they should look for someone who is nice to you and someone who you would actually care for you. Then other kids either get in trouble or try and be in one of the “popular” groups which they also usually get in trouble.
DeleteThis was one of my favorite blogs to read, Louisa.
DeleteI think it matters on how you act in front of the people that you meet, for them to judge you. Still they shouldn’t say anything behind your back when it is negative. I wish that the world was a positive place where bad things aren’t always happening. Like the quote that Mary said, everyone is different, but they shouldn’t be judged for it.
DeleteFor this post, I have to agree with you! When I first went to my summer camp, everyone kinda got a bad impression. When I came to this school, I was worried people wouldn't like me either! Overall, I agree with everything you say.
DeleteI agree with you that nobody should get judged on the color of their skin, their sexuality, gender, and unfortunately, many more.
Deleteouisa listen.
DeleteI wonder, if anyone is thinking about me right now, and if they are, I wonder what they have to say about me.
ReplyDeleteAndie, I wonder that, too. I don’t get why people judge other people just because they like to do different things then that person does. Also, like you said, I would like to know why someone does or does not know me. Hopefully, though, no one talks about people behind their backs.
DeleteI always wonder that! I know that sometimes, I don’t like things that everybody likes, but that just makes me different in my own weird way! Everyone has their secrets, but not everyone is brave enough to let them show. Basically, we’re all one big group of weirdos! :)
DeleteAndie, I also always think of that to. Nobody wants anyone to think of themselves as a bad person or a person who’s not nice, no matter who you are. I don’t want anyone to think of me as someone who is not nice. Neither does anybody else.
DeleteYour blog and Louisa's blogs are similar, and I like and respect what you have said. Great Job!
DeleteI always think that too! Like, why do people feel the need to be mean to anyone? Some people never notice what we do RIGHT, but the moment we do something WRONG they don’t want to hang out with us! I just really don’t understand some people and their need to be mean.
DeleteI think that too!
DeleteI wonder how many places I will go to in my life? My family and I love to travel and we do it quite often. So far I have been to five states and know I want to go everywhere. When I get older I want to travel to other countries and see what it is like. I am so used to living in the United States and seeing the sights here and now I want to see the things in different places. I want to see the Eiffel Tower and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. These places seem so interesting. Traveling around the world is interesting. I love to explore and see new things and to me seeing the same thing twice is really boring. Every place I go I have never been to before and I like it that way. Different, to me, is way better than doing things over and over again.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many places I would like to go, too! I think that it’s a great dream of yours to go to different places all over the world. It can get pretty boring seeing the same things over and over again. You can always spice your life up with a bit of salt or barbecue sauce or...now I’m hungry!
DeleteTraveling is an awesome thing to do! Great Job!
DeleteI love traveling myself, but if you know where you went now, you will always try to make that different. If you just live your live now, then when you get older, your traveling self will catch up sooner or later. Find places that interest you, save up money, and go!
DeleteI want to go all over the world too! Especially since my family lives all over the world, I never met some of them! If I get to travel more, than I could also meet them. But, I do agree with you about not really loving to do stuff things over and over again. Things, over a time, get boring!
DeleteI hope you travel to all the places you can! I also wish to go to many places, but I will be fine if I don’t get to go to all of them. I just wish I can do at least one. I hope that you go to as many as you wish. I think going places are important because you get to do as many things as you can in your life.
DeleteI wonder what my dog would say if he could talk.
ReplyDeleteHahaha!! Great job!
DeleteI always wondered what my dogs were thinking. Whether it’s them thinking that they can do whatever they want, or staying in control, they always do want we say. Dogs are just lovable and playful, so what does it matter if they think we look stupid, because in the end they always love us.
DeleteThat is a great thought Shannon! Now that I think about it, Daisy, my dog, is probably a lot smarter than me! Sometimes she can be a little dumb, but most of the time, she seems really smart! Who know? Maybe dogs can even tell the future! If only we could talk to them...
DeleteThat is a great thought. I feel whenever I make silly faces to an animal I am always wondering what they are thinking. Are they thinking I am weird for make those sill faces or are they enjoying my silly faces.
DeleteI knew you weren’t going to do a normal topic, Shannon! You are so creative and come up with the craziest things ( which is an amazing quality!) I also wonder that, but I also wonder what his voice would sound like. Very interesting topic and I appreciate your creativity!
DeleteI wonder if I am going to be successful.
ReplyDeleteDon’t worry, everyone worries about things in their past affecting their future. But it shouldn’t matter what happened in the past, as long as you have changed your ways. Although it is possible for your past to affect you, what really matters is what you do in the present; what you’re doing right now.
DeleteI think that you are putting too much pressure on yourself. Great Job!
DeleteHey, it doesn’t matter what is going to happen in the future now, because we are young. If we keep dwelling on the future, about what things happened in the past, we will miss all of the stuff that is happening now. I know sooner or later that it will matter, but we are only in 6th grade, so we can deal with it in the future. You will go far my friend!
DeleteDon’t worry about it to much. I mean, I’m sure everyone thought that, even me. But, don’t put to much pressure on yourself. You should worry about your future, but only at the right time, which is not right now. The past will affect your future, but you can, and if you make the right choices, will change if you’re not happy about your future.
DeleteAndrew, don't worry about it. To me everyone is successful even if they messed up. No one is perfect and that is something you have to remember. Don't put to much pressure on yourself you are fine just the way you are.
DeleteDon’t stress over it! If you think before you choose I believe you would end up in a good place. I guess I can’t say much because I only lived so much of my life. I wish you the best of luck to living a happy, successful life.
DeleteI wonder if there is something beyond the universe.
ReplyDeleteI've thought about that too! It does seem extremely likely that there are other life forms out there and I believe that there are! I mean when we're wondering about if they exist they're probably wondering if we exist!
DeleteGreat question! Great job!
DeleteYou are very intelligent, and I think you will go far in life. Your theories for almost everything sometimes don’t make sense in my head, but this as explained perfectly. This explanation is amazing.
DeleteI’ve always thought about that too! I am almost certain in my opinion, that there are other life forms out there, weather if they are just like us, or completly different from us! If there is other life forms, maybe they already know about us! Hopefully one day we will know for certain if there are other living creatures out there in the universe!
DeleteI thought about that, too. In my opinion if scientists search hard enough you will find other life forms. I'm sure that if there are other life forms that they are probably wondering if we actually exist.
DeleteI do believe the universe is a never-ending space. I wouldn’t say there is a 100% chance of other life because we never found that out. I do think it is very likely there is other life though. It’s so strange thinking that something is so big and we are SO small compared to it.
DeleteHello.
ReplyDeleteAvary, I wonder that too. It's like when you start something and then once your in the middle of it you try to remember what happened when you first started it. Time flies and you don't even notice it. One second it's the present, the next second it's the past.

DeleteI try not to over-complicate time because time is just an idea people made up to keep track of days. The past is the past and you should worry about the present. It is good to be hopeful about the future, but I don’t recommend stressing about the future. If I think about something like time I would be wasting time.
DeleteWow Avary, that's a great thought! I've always wondered if we will ever time travel, or find out what time really is. It's so confusing! I mean, what if we are just part of the past, and their already is a future planned out! Will we ever meet time travelers from the future? Ok, now I'm just confusing myself! :)
